Secrets and Cymbals, Smoke and Scissors (My Friend Dash's Wall in the Future) 2004-2006. Styrofoam, oil paint, paper, metal. Hand painted in a trompe-l’oeil technique.
This painted sculpture is a recreation of Dash Snow’s wall from his former Avenue C apartment. Each newspaper clipping, flyer, sticker, photograph, and hand-scrawled note has been painted from a snapshot photo taken by Colen.
