NIKE78 was created by Paul Jenkins... the project gets creative people/studio's from around the world to make something from a new pair of NIKE shoes that they're sent... they're asked to use sport as inspiration to challenge their function... the project will be showcased at the London Design Festival 2010.

"Animal's lives have little worth in our culture. Their habitats are ruined for comodities such as pam oil, or soy. They are put into cages, while their bodies are made sick and use for scientific research. My work is encouraged by the belief that if humans witness the innocnece and beauty of these animals, they will realize more and more what they have lost due to technlogy, overpopulation, and the rejeciton of nature, perahps we will stop endangerous them. This is the story of the rescue of the Indicator Species, in which certain sanctuaries focus on achieving conservation of a particular animal, and along with the status of many species which share its habitat are saved." - anniemusselman.com
