GIRLS is a fantastic new series from writer/director/actor Lena Dunham and Judd Apatow and Jenni Konner. Lena Dunham was born in NYC, the daughter of artist/photographer Laurie Simmons, and Carroll Dunham, a painter. She graduated from Oberlin College in 2008, where she studied creative writing. Her 2010 feature film, Tiny Furniture, is a brilliant and comical flick about a girl whose life parallels that of Lena's. Similarly, her new TV show, Girls, is a reflection of Lena's own generation and experience as a 20-something girl living in NYC. If you didn't know, now you know.
