Maurizio Galante for Cerruti Baleri. Italy. 2012.
The 'soft marble' Louis XV armchair is made from a plywood structure and CFC-free soft polyurethane foam, with an internal dacron cover and separate seating cushion made of polyurethane. The chair has been upholstered with an external cover made of 100% silk that is finished with a photographic print of carrara marble. This beautifully clever design marks the meeting of two classics: the form of a Louis XV armchair + the digitally reproduced motif of marble.
