I've seen Angelique Houtkamp's art online many times, but recently had the pleasure of enjoyed it in person at Outre gallery Melbourne-definitely rad work. This 'vintage/sailor tat' theme is big here in Melbourne... huge Rockabilly scene and overall 50s throwback style... adore it.

HETERCHROMIA.

Heterochromia refers to a difference in coloration of the iris... it's the result of excess or lack of melanin (a pigment) which may be inherited (genetic) or due to disease/injury... the eye may be hyperpigmented or hypopigmented. There are 2 kinds of heterochromia: complete-one iris is a different color from the other, and partial/sectoral- part of one iris is a different color from the rest. Rad.
