Popular in the 1940s and 50s, Carmen Miranda was a popular Brazilian broadway star who made it BIG in America. Before her career as a performer, she manufactured hats in Brazil. These hats were not like the ones she wore on the big screen that made her famous. Those were literally made of fruit, which is how she became knowns as the lady in the 'tutti-frutti hat'. Sadly, Miranda died at an early age from a heart attack+substance abuse.
The woman definitely had next-level style.
