A film on the late architect Samuel Mockbee and the rad educational design-build program known as the Rural Studio. Hale County, Alabama is home to some of the most impoverished communities in the U.S... it's also home of Samuel Mockbee and Auburn University’s Rural Studio, an architecture outreach program. The film explores Mockbee's effort to inspire architecture’s future practitioners with the knowledge/passion to improve their community’s quality of life, and chronicles the philosophy behind Rural Studio.
