A Houseboat in London.

Located on the Thames river.

Rainer Cole, a sculptor from London, bought this former fishing trawler, called the St. Michael, in 1995 for 5,000 pounds (about $7,750) a as student at Camberwell College of Arts in London... he has since turned it into his permanent home by converting it into two apartments. He bought it when the boat consisted of an ice room, anchor room, fish hold, eight bunk beds for crew, and small captain's cabin... now its split into a 4-bedroom apartment and a 2-bedroom flat. "London has become so compressed, with more and more people living in a small area nowadays, and living on the river is really quite an escape," said Rainer. Genius.A Houseboat in London.
