SFMade, a non-profit established in 2010, is the only organization of its kind focused on building SF’s economic base by developing the local manufacturing sector. Its mission is to build and support a vibrant manufacturing sector that sustains companies producing local products, encourages entrepreneurship, and creates employment opportunities. SFMade offers industry-specific education, and connects companies to local resources. By doing so, they help sustain and create job opportunities for the City’s low-income communities. SFMade also offers public educational workshops, factory tours, and other programs that heighten the public awareness of manufacturing.
