Positive Posters was founded in 2009 by graphic designer Nick Hallam. It's a non-profit international poster competition run by a group of volunteers based in Melbourne, Australia. Designers have 2 months to create and submit a positive design that responds to the annual theme. An exhibition is held of the top 30 posters, and the winner chosen by a group of international judges. Then 4000 copies are printed of the winning poster and pasted all over the streets of Melbourne." Graphic/ Communication designers have a unique ability to communicate visually, however their talent is often restrained by client needs. The people behind Positive Posters wanted to give graphic designers an outlet to create freely, and to use their skills to inspire and make a positive difference in a non-commercial way."-positive-posters.com
This project represents the amazing city of Melbourne perfectly.
